Skiing
Nendaz is one of the best kept secrets in the Alps whilst enjoying access to some of Switzerland's best skiing. Unlike its more famous neighbour, Verbier, the resort is not over exploited and yet provides something for everyone. Ideal for groups of friends or families with children of all ages, the multiple leisure amenities of Nendaz are complemented by a vibrant atmosphere and apres ski scene.
Part of the world renowned 4 Valleys ski region, Haute Nendaz enjoys access to 412 km of manicured pistes with over 100 ski lifts. The infrastructure of the 4 Valleys is continuously updated and a variety of ski passes allow visitors to explore different parts or indeed the whole region.
Nendaz has a tremendous variety of skiing, including the main ski start at Tracouet and the easy link to Super Nendaz (Siviez). With its frozen lake, Tracouet is a preferred location for children and beginners. With specially adapted installations for children and a snow garden, it is the perfect place for them to discover the joys of skiing.
For the more advanced skier, there is a wealth of runs and off piste to explore. At the heart of the 4 Valleys is the Mont-Fort Glacier, which at 3,300m is the highest peak in the region. Easily accessed from Nendaz, from the Mont-Fort skiers can reach most of the ski areas in the 4 Valleys, including Verbier and Veysonnaz.
A wide network of cruising reds and blues are available to enjoy and the Mont-Fort also houses some of the region's best fresh powder skiing and snowboarding. If new to the area, we would recommend you book a guide to show you the best off-piste skiing.
For non-skiers there is also vast range of activities in the resort:
Billiards • bowling • curling • fitness • icefall climbing • ice rink • mountaineering • paragliding • 100km of clearly marked paths for snow walks • sledging • snowshoe routes • snowtubing • sports centre
Pure Destinations says...
"Nendaz is part of a vast ski system and the access it enjoys to Mont-Fort and Verbier make it an instant draw. The resort is the perfect size. Large enough to have a wide array of amenities and activities but not so big that it gets overcrowded and impersonal.
The location of these chalets is fantastic as you can walk to and from the main ski station and also to the bars and restaurants of the resort centre."
