Why Geejam?
Geejam was founded by the famous music producer John Baker, and is a stylish equilibrium between ultra modern technology and the intrinsic grace of Jamaica's organic island vibe and sensibility.
The quality of the accommodation at Geejam is exceptional. The private three bedroom villa, Sanwood, is distinguished by its contemporary nautical theme. It has its own Apple home theatre, sun deck, veranda, lounge dining area and private pool.
The three one bedroom cabins are privately arranged among banana trees with stunning views of the Caribbean Sea. Each suite has a luxury shower and steam room with private outdoor veranda and lounge. The interiors are relaxed, airy octangular spaces with glass doors opening onto an elevated surround sound view.
The signature suite is housed on the ground floor of the famous recording studio. The studio has played host to Gwen Stefani, Gorrillaz and Bjork. This one bedroom suite is an indulgent, oversized concept with a bathroom that features a steam shower and Phillippe Starck bathtub. The suite also boasts a 1,500 sq.ft lounge area and private deck.
A healing spa, swimming pool, gym and Bushbar are also available within the estate, forming an exclusive universe within the natural beauty of the grounds. Recently nominated by the Jamaican press as one of the 'top ten most fascinating places to hang out', the Bushbar follows the overall Geejam mantra of a grassroots approach to relaxation, restoration and reinvention.
The beaches surrounding Geejam are of the highest quality that can be found in the Caribbean. Within immediate proximity is Frenchman's Cove, voted by Condé Nast Traveller as one of the world's top five beaches, where the saltwater is enhanced by a clear, freshwater stream that pours into the sea. The result is an exciting cocktail of the naturally heated seawater together with the coolness of the spring.
Macks Bay, the Geejam owned waterfront at the foot of the property, is where clear water, white sand and an uninterrupted horizon combine to create the ultimate escape. Just a 20 minute walk or five minute drive is the equally enchanting Blue Lagoon, described by Condé Nast as the most romantic place to swim in the entire Island.
