Aphrodite Hills is close to numerous local places of interest. The major Cypriot town of Paphos is within a 20 minute drive and includes a wealth of restaurants and night spots.
Visitors cannot fail to be impressed with the mosaics at the former houses of Dionysus and Theseus, built in the 2nd Century AD, or the ancient theatre of Kourion and there are countless other archaeological sites within easy reach.
If you wish to sample local cooking, we advise not to spend too much time in the large cities but to explore the more tranquil villages surrounding Aphrodite Hills. The drive up to the hilltop towns of Kathikas, Vasilikon and Polemi show off the local vineyards and countryside and all have wonderful local tavernas serving traditional dishes.
