We are incredibly sensitive towards the adverse affect air travel has on the environment and are committed to ensuring this impact is kept to a minimum.

As such, we have partnered with the CarbonNeutral® Company to ensure the carbon emissions of all the flights booked on behalf of our customers are fully offset. Prior to departure, we will calculate the amount of carbon emissions a given flight will expel. This amount is then transferred into 'Carbon Credits', which are subsequently used to sponsor dedicated ecological projects around the world.

The cost of offsetting the carbon emissions is a very small percentage of the total flight cost. 50% of the carbon offsetting cost will be passed on to the customer and as an indication of our commitment; the remaining 50% will be paid by Pure Destinations.

We have chosen to sponsor a range of worldwide projects that use renewable energy, such as solar, wind, hydro and waste products, to power local electrical and heating systems.

Example 1:

A solar lighting project in India. To stop rural areas that are not connected to any electrical grid system using kerosene to light their homes.

Example 2:

A Biogas project in the Netherlands. Capturing methane and other gases that are being expelled into the atmosphere from the waste of pig and dairy farms and regenerating it into electrical energy for the local grid and to heat local buildings.

If a consumer does not wish to cover the added minimal cost, they must be responsible for the sourcing and booking of their own flights.
